Skorpion OS is not yet another Linux derivative with a dark theme. It's a shift in perspective: AI not as a separate toy, but as a mediator between user and system, always at your service, if you ask for it.
We do not integrate an assistant that interrupts you, that suggests things you didn't ask for, or that
does the work for you.
Experienced users can bypass it entirely. Beginners can lean on it to learn and feel Linux as a welcoming home, cared for by the butler.
We customize starting from both Debian and Arch to suit every kind of user.
Every package you know works. Every command you've learned stays valid. Skorpion OS adds, it removes nothing.
By default every prompt and every file analyzed by the AI stays on your computer: the model runs locally via Ollama, and DuckDuckGo is used only to search the internet, never for AI processing.
In the future, at startup you'll be offered a choice: with a couple of clicks the system stays entirely yours — or your questions are sent to our own server, which handles them with full respect for your privacy.
(feature in development)
The code is open so that anyone can verify and improve it. It's not marketing: it's the very condition that makes a project like this meaningful and trustworthy, even to those who don't appreciate AI.
If one day Skorpion OS were to betray these principles, anyone could fork it and continue it elsewhere. That's exactly how it should work.
The installation files (.iso) do not include the weight of the entire model, but offer to download it at system startup, after it has been installed on the machine.
We choose this system to allow our users to select and install the model through a graphical interface and be free to use the system without AI integration.
I don't want to build an operating system that acts in your place. I want to build one that interprets your intentions, and gives you what you actually need.
Skorpion OS is a growing project. Every contribution — code, ideas, testing — makes a difference. Join the community and help build the future of Linux.
Support development with a donation, or download an ISO and try it.
